The shutters (persianas) fold in two when open.
When leaving the house for longer periods it is worth closing the shutters (persianas). These create some shade and are a security measure. They have bolts top and bottom but not all are in working order. The final closure should be by turning the handle.
French doors have three possible positions.
1 – Open Handle must be in the horizontal position on the right hand side. The left hand side has a lever at the bottom.
2 – Closed Handle must point vertically down ensuring that the lever on the left hand side has been put in the closed position.
3 – Top Pointing the handle up opens just the top of the window.
Trouble shooting – if you can’t seem to get it right check first that the L hand lever on the side of the door frame is properly closed then move the right hand handle into the horizontal and then closed position.
